Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance is an enhanced version of the fifth main instalment in the Shin Megami Tensei series. The game takes place in modern-day Tokyo, where a sudden apocalypse has devastated the city and brought forth demons from other realms. As a newly appointed Nahobino, the player must navigate through the post-apocalyptic world and fight against the forces of darkness to restore order.

In Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance, players can choose to experience two different paths. The "Canon of Creation" places you at the centre of the eternal conflict between angels and demons as the one who fights to save the world. This is the classic story as it was represented in the original game.

Meanwhile, the "Canon of Vengeance" is a new storyline featuring a cast of new characters and introduces a third faction into the conflict, the Qadištu, who have their own dark agenda.
