Who’s Lila? is a point-and-click adventure where your most important tool is your face. You are William, a young man who has trouble expressing his feelings through facial expressions. Unfortunately for him, he was the last person to see a missing person, Tanya Kennedy, and has now attracted the attention of the police. Even worse, he has to use facial expressions to communicate. Will you be able to talk your way out of trouble, or will your deadpan expression lead to your actual death?

Unlike other adventure games, you don’t use dialogue choices in Who’s Lila. Instead, you must manually adjust William’s face to produce the correct expression. A neural network will detect what emotion the expression is trying to convey and come up with the appropriate dialogue, thus moving the story forward. Your choices determine which of the 15 endings you will get.

Couple this with dither-punk graphics, strange architecture, a moody soundtrack, and a story that feels like a David Lynch film, and you have one unique and surreal experience. Will you get to the bottom of the mystery and make sense of the plot? More importantly, can you answer the final question: Who’s Lila?
