The isolation of quarantine cannot protect you from the terrors of Night Book. A narrative-driven FMV game, Night Book lets you make the decisions that impact its story’s outcome—even if that outcome is horrifying. You play as Loralyn (Julie Dray) a pregnant interpreter who works the night shift interpreting live calls between French and English callers. While facilitating a transaction between an English bookseller and a French businessman, she opens an ancient book and is made to read it. Strange events begin to occur around her, and it slowly dawns on Loralyn that she has summoned a demon into her own home. All alone, she must use everything at her disposal to save her baby, her boyfriend, her ill father, and her own soul.
Made by the producers of The Complex and Five Dates, Night Book is a frightening tale shot entirely during lockdown conditions. Nevertheless, it provides a seamless experience that is between a horror film and an interactive movie. You choose how it all ends: will you be able to save Loralyn and her loved ones or condemn them to a terrible fate?
