In Be Hero, you are an aspiring adventurer on a quest to defeat a great evil. You take up arms, ready to risk your life in the final battle that will determine the fate of the world. You show up and...it turns out that the battle’s already over. You’re left stranded with no money and your only option is to get a job and earn your way back home.
Thankfully, there’s plenty of things for you to do in this Stardew Valley-style game. You can work for money at a rundown tavern. With a little effort, you can rebuild and upgrade it till it’s better than new. You can also repair the wartorn village you're in and build your own farm. You can fish, mine, harvest, chop wood, and hunt for a living. And yes, you can also perform quests for the townsfolk who are still in need of a hero. As you gain experience you also gain skill points that you can apply to stats like your health and energy. Get to know the folks about town and you will learn their stories and the lore of the land.
While you won’t be the hero you thought you’d be, with time and effort, you can be the hero that this town needs.
