Chronos: Before the Ashes is a third-person action RPG with adventure game elements. This prequel takes place in the same universe as Remnant: From the Ashes. However, the events take place a good time before those of the first part of the series. You take on the role of the chosen one, whose task is to save their homeland from evil. To complete this mission you must go through a maze full of secrets and enemies to defeat, including goblins, minotaurs, and golems. The deeper you travel into it, the more secrets you will encounter and the more you will learn about the nature of the labyrinth.
Fighting monsters will require a lot of dexterity, cunning, good reflexes, and tactical skills. However, when the opponent proves to be stronger than you and your character loses their life, it's possible to be reborn again. But there is a price to be paid... the character will age by one year. This means that the older the character gets, the weaker they will be in melee combat, so older characters are more likely to focus on magical ranged attacks.
As the story progresses in Chronos: Before the Ashes, you will gain new powers, abilities, and weapons to expand your combat capabilities.
