Gamedec is a cyberpunk-style indie RPG based on the sci-fi books "Gamedec. Granica rzeczywistości" and "Gamedec. Sprzedawcy lokomotyw", whose author is Marcin Przybyłek, which also acted as an expert advisor in the game development process. The main character in the game is a private detective, almost like the Sherlock Holmes of the future, known as Gamedec, who solves crimes and deals with offenses committed in the virtual world in which the humanity of Warsaw City in the XXII century spends most of its time. In this world, laws are violated on a daily basis and the game offers you a non-linear story that will unveil depending on your preferences and choices, which also will have an impact on your surroundings and the personality of your character. Making some decisions after you've gone deep into a particular case can cause a lot of problems. Sometimes the criminals turn out to be people who broke the law in good faith, such as a mother protecting her children. Sometimes they are heartless businessmen and sometimes people who are just a little cog in a huge engine. You must act in accordance with your own conscience.
You can conduct an investigation in several different ways. Variations of the Code, Aspects and Deductions allow for a different approach to each case. You can engage in long and complex conversations with the characters you meet, reveal and create intrigues, or even discover the relationships between the real and virtual worlds. In the game, you can explore Warsaw City and its virtual representation, where places reminiscent of the Wild West, prehistoric times, idyllic farms, or fantasy lands await you. Missions can be solved by using force and weapons, or by talking to witnesses and suspects.
Gamedec is a single-person game with high-quality 3D graphics. The locations are very detailed with visible differences between the colorful virtual reality worlds and the gray, depressing districts of the real Warsaw City.
