In Battle for Azeroth, the short truce between the Alliance and the Horde is over. With the Burning Legion defeated, both factions are at war again.
Get ready for new adventures, because like every expansion, Battle for Azeroth brings a lot of new items to the rich world of World of Warcraft.
Starting with two new continents: Kul Tiras for the Alliance and Zandalar for the Horde. Kul Tiras is a rather mountainous area, while Zandalar is more tropical. Each of these two new continents is divided into three zones, which will allow you to reach level 120, before going to attack the enemy's land.
Unlike Legion, the previous expansion, Battle for Azeroth offers new races, six in number. These are variants of already existing races, so we find the Nightborne, Highmountain Tauren and Zandalari Trolls for the Horde; and the Alliance will welcome the Void Elves, Lightforged Draenei, and Dark Iron Dwarves. Any new character created in these races will start directly at level 20.
In Battle for Azeroth, artifact weapons will be replaced with a brand new mechanic: Azerite. Azerite is a new resource with great power, emerged as a result of the war against the Legion. You can gather it form the world in form of crystals. It usually appears on the new content of the expansion, such as dungeons, War Fronts and especially, unexplored Islands. Each player will be given a necklace, which in reality is the Heart of Azeroth. Thanks to the Azerite, you can increase the level of the Heart, which will allow you to unlock powerful powers for your pieces of equipment. Each item has one or more powers, and those powers will also depend on its level and rarity.
Another great novelty that Battle for Azeroth has in store for you: The Unexplored Islands. These islands abound in the Great Sea and will allow you to live thrilling adventures. Your goal will be to explore them to gather Azerite, but not only that. The islands allow you to experience diverse 20 minutes scenarios for 3 players. On the menu, PvP, PvE, boss fights, goal capture, etc. Blizzard promises great replayability thanks to an improved AI able to adapt its strategy, and 4 levels of difficulty.
Finally, another novelty, or rather a return to the roots: War Fronts. In Battle for Azeroth, the battle between the Horde and the Alliance is raging. War Fronts directly represent the origins of World of Warcraft, resuming the RTS aspect of the old Warcraft games. You will have to conquer and defend territories in groups of 20 players. You will need to build front posts and various other buildings that will allow you to deploy your troops. The War Fronts will allow you, of course, to obtain rewards, including sets of weapons and armor exclusive to each faction.
And like any expansion, Battle for Azeroth also brings a host of new items, dungeons, and raids.
