My Summer Car is an open world survival game created by Finnish developer Johannes Rojola of Amistech.
The game is set in rural Finland during the summer of 1995, where the 19-year-old player character has the family home to himself while his parents are on holiday in Tenerife.
The player has to gather, recreate and improve their father's worn down Satsuma Amp using different car parts found all over the garage, as well as by buying new parts. To earn money for the parts, the player can perform various countryside chores for neighbours such as delivering firewood on a tractor-pulled trailer, using a vacuum truck to empty their septic tanks, making kilju (Finnish moonshine) and selling it to an alcoholic neighbor, and picking up the aforementioned neighbor from the town pub on early mornings in exchange for a small sum of money. After getting the Satsuma to pass the vehicle inspection and installing the appropriate aftermarket parts, the player's car is eligible to enter a weekly amateur rallying event for a chance to win a trophy and prize money.
